Gas Flow Meters.

Mechanical flow meters.

Ultrasonic Flow Meters.
Ultrasonic flow meter are fed electrically and its principle functionality as it is called transit time.
It consists of measuring the difference between the time it takes for two signals traverse the same distance but in the opposite direction using as a fluid medium.
If the fluid flow rate is zero, the times are equal, but when no flow times are different, since the speeds of the signals will be affected by the fluid whose flow is to be determined; this time difference more knowledge about the geometry of the pipe and the speed of sound in the medium to assess the fluid velocity or flow.
